Acadia Pool Rules

  • All patrons MUST shower before entering the pool. Persons with open cuts, sores, bandages, colds, coughs or infected eyes are NOT permitted in the pool.
  • Children 7 years old or younger MUST remain within arms’ reach of a parent or guardian (16 years of age or older) at a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.
  • Children 8-12 years of age are required to have an adult remain with the child.
  • Outdoor footwear and clothing are NOT permitted on the pool deck.
  • Walk, don’t run in and around the pool facility.
  • No diving in the shallow ends OR the end closest to the pool deck office – deep end only
  • No use of starting blocks (swim team only)
  • No sitting or hanging on the lane ropes
  • No back dives or flips
  • Proper swim attire is required. Cut off shorts, underwear, sports bras, boxers, and loose fitting clothing like t-shirts are not acceptable swim wear.
  • Food, beverages, or any breakable items are NOT permitted in pool area. Please discard chewing gum in garbage receptacle before entering the pool.
  • Anyone not toilet trained must wear water resistant swimwear to prevent contamination of the pool. Cloth or disposable diapers are not accepted.
  • Spitting or nose-blowing in the pool is strictly prohibited.
  • Animals are not allowed in the building or pool area, with the exception of guide dogs. Guide dogs are allowed on deck, but not in the water.
  • NO electronic devices such as cameras, cell phones, smartphones, and laptops are allowed in the pool area or change rooms
